Honeywell HW2000i Review : Is This Quiet Generator Worth It? Recently, we ran through all the numbers, customer reviews, comments and ratings and discovered that the Honeywell inverter generator did very well by comparison. In fact, the HW2000i came in 3rd place – at the time.
UPDATED Honeywell HW2000i Review :
Just a couple of days ago, we received a lengthy comment from one reader named Tom who stated the following:
“Well, I just learned a very valuable lesson about the Honeywell HW2000i generator. I contacted Honeywell about getting a replacement inverter module and was told that that generator was made / imported by Northshore Power Systems. I contacted Northshore Power Systems and was advised that they only had a list of 24 replacement parts and that the inverter module, the guts to the whole thing, was not on that list. So, the bottom line is that if the inverter module goes out, there is no way to get another one. I guess mine will make a great boat anchor.”
Thank you Tom for sharing your experience and good to know. Does this mean we are going to completely give up on the Honeywell quiet inverter generator? Not at all. It means you have more information about the generator and can now make a more informed decision.
By the way, we have included in this Honeywell HW2000i review a new inverter generator comparison chart. We tried to make it as thorough as possible so that you could see right away the differences between 3 models. Additionally, we have added a new page that features many generators on sale. We hope you find these useful.
